Day 1
Guwahati - Shillong
Check out from your hotel in Guwahati and depart to Shillong at 6:00 hours (110 km from Guwahati) by road. On the way , visit Barapani Lake. Upon arrival in Shillong, check-in at hotel. Sightseeing at Shillong including :
Day 2
Shillong – Cherrapunjee excursion
Cherrapunjee is a small town located on the southern edge of Khasi Hills, a dissected plateau at an altitude of about 4823 feet (1484 m) above mean sea level. Cherrapunjee is locally and now officially known as ‘SOHRA’. It is located in Meghalaya, which is one of the seven states of North East India with Assam to its North and sharing an international border with Bangladesh on its South.
Trip to Cherrapunjee (Highest rainfall area in the world) and back. There are many scenic spots, waterfalls and a cave on the way to Cherrapunjee. Overnight stay at hotel in Cherrapunji.
Day 3
Shillong - Mawlynnong-Dawki - Guwahati
Mawlynnong is a village in the East Khasi Hills district of the Meghalaya state, India. Mawlynnong is located 90 km from Shillong, along the Indo-Bangla Border. Later make a visit to Dawki, its covering a dramatic 10 KM section along the lip of the vast green Pamshutia Canyon it then descends through mildly picturesque Khasi Villages, finally crossing a suspension bridge over the blue-green Umngot-Creek. In the evening after all the sightseeing return back to Guwahati for overnight stay. If not drop at Airport/Railway Station.
