I have been a wanderer since past few years. As I was planning my next trip I got a suggestion from a friend of mine about North-East. I did research on it and I got to know a little more about North-East. As there was a crunch of time so for my first trip I planned to visit Meghalaya. I feel lucky that I planned for Meghalaya which is also known as "The Abode of Clouds" After my arrival in Guwahati as a Backpacker, I moved directly to Shillong "The Scotland of the East".
Day one I have visited Shillong which is also known as "Scotland of the East". The city life, hustle to make things on time, reach target etc etc aside these the roar of the tourist crowd.
Day Two started for Cherrapunji, lots to endeavour & acquired the beauty of many unexplored natural beauty.
Day Three went for the Double Decker Living Root Bridge, was a difficlut downpour to the bottom but eventually ended up with a very pleasant view. Also did cover Rainblow Falls at the same stretch & called it a day.
Day Four I backpacked to Mawlynnong- Asia's Cleanest Village & later headed for Dawki. Where one can boat, swim & enjoy the view of Bangladesh Border. Called it a day.
Day Five early morning start my day with a lift till Krung Shuri Falls enjoyed the beautiful water reserve view & also soaked myself in the water for a while. After a tiring day at the swim I ended my day at the Liatlum Canyon- which means "The End of the Hills"
All in all it was very wonderful experience. I would recommend one and all to come visit North-East India & explored the nature's bestowed beauty upon it.
